Coast Hotels & Resorts Honours Top Hotels and Sales Professionals for 2011

Coast Hotels & Resorts today announced its top-performing hotels and sales professionals for 2011 exemplifying the hotel chain's commitment to superior guest service, quality and comfort.
The award-winning hotels were selected from 31 Coast Hotels & Resorts' properties in Western Canada based on excellence in economic performance, quality, service, guest and employee satisfaction.

Vancouver's Coast Coal Harbour Hotel took top honours for guest satisfaction receiving the best satisfaction, intent to return and value (SIRV) award among owned and managed hotels as measured by guest comment cards. Comment cards were designed and tabulated by Carrollton, Texas-based hospitality management company Unifocus, L.P.
The Coast Coal Harbour Hotel also secured Coast Hotels' Marketing Award of the Year for its sponsorship of Raise-A-Reader Day in support of family literacy programs. Last fall, the hotel hosted the Raise-A-Reader kick-off breakfast attracting more than 350 supporters, business leaders and local celebrities. Hotel employees raised more than $2,000 for the Raise-A-Reader program and the hotel donated $1 from every breakfast purchased at Prestons Restaurant from September 1st to 28th to the literacy fundraiser.
The Coast Tsawwassen Inn in Delta, B.C. received the award for best SIRV among franchised hotels.
The Campus Tower Suite Hotel in Edmonton, Alberta was recognized as the Managed Hotel of the Year and the Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre in Calgary, Alberta took home the Franchised Hotel of the Year Award.

Coast Hotels & Resorts' employees gave top marks to the Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel, snagging the Ambassador Survey Index Award among owned and managed properties.
Hotels recognized for their financial performance included the Coast Chilliwack Hotel in Chilliwack, B.C., which was presented with the award for Revenue Per Available Room (RevPar) Index Improvement among owned and managed hotels. The Coast Lethbridge Hotel & Conference Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta received the RevPar Index Improvement Award for franchised hotels, and the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel was recognized for gross operating profit (GOP) improvement.
In the sales category, Jason Wilson, Senior Sales Manager at the Coast Edmonton House, was honoured as Coast Hotels & Resorts' top sales performer for 2011. Rita Frost, Sales Manager at the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel, placed second in sales for 2011 and Junichi Tajiri, Director of Tour and Travel, Asian Sales, Coast Corporate Office and Klaus Ofner, Sales Manager, Coast Inn of the North in Prince George, B.C. tied for third place.
